In the late 1880s, a small group of prominent land owners and developers from the quickly evolving settlement community known as Fremont, would gang up to hunt down and kill the Walmooster. But the Walmooster, being a semi-supernatural creature, would always return, year after year, over and over again. They claimed it was a malevolent demon-beast that would impale its victims on its enormous tusks, or could swallow an entire railworker whole. But others believed that the Walmooster was a benevolent spirit, that protected the community from greed and gentrification. Still others suspected that this "Gang of 8" were using the Walmooster as a destraction from nefarious secret activities they were desperate to keep from being revealed...
